A family home on Praia do Canto
Since 2001, the Cheret family has welcomed guests at Pousada Manacá: a house facing Praia do Canto, one of the quietest corners of Vila do Abraão, a few minutes’ walk from the pier and the village centre.
There are 7 suites with sea or garden views, all with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a private bathroom. Every morning, breakfast is made at home with fresh ingredients and served on the garden terrace.
Our name comes from the manacá-de-cheiro that has flowered in the garden from the very beginning: purple, lilac and white all at once. Here you are welcomed the way friends are — because that is exactly what you are.

What to know before you arrive
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 2 pm to 10 pm; check-out by 11 am. Arriving outside these hours? Let us know on WhatsApp and we’ll work it out.
How do I get to Pousada Manacá?
There are no cars on Ilha Grande. Take the ferry or a speedboat to Vila do Abraão (departures from Conceição de Jacareí, Angra dos Reis or Mangaratiba). From the pier, it’s about a 10-minute walk through the village streets to Praia do Canto.
Important: the entrance to the pousada is from the beach. There is no street access to our gate — for the last stretch you step down onto the sand and walk a few metres along the beach to our fence. First-time visitors often don’t know this; message us on WhatsApp and we’ll send you the location and directions.
Is breakfast included?
Yes. Breakfast is homemade every day with fresh ingredients and served on the garden terrace from 8 am to 10 am.
Are children and pets welcome?
Children are very welcome, and we have a cot available for babies up to 2 years old. Unfortunately we cannot accept pets.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 3 days before check-in. For cancellations after that, please contact us on WhatsApp.

Como chegar a pé
Do Cais Turístico são ~12 minutos; do Cais da Barca, ~15. Siga pela Rua de Santana, Rua Getúlio Vargas e Rua do Chalé; no fim dela, desça para a areia e caminhe uns 100 m até o portão.
